For the past several months, I’ve been thinking a lot about identity: how I have and do define myself, who God says I am and who the world tells me I should be. (You may even remember this post I wrote about the topic.) Who we believe ourselves to be (and sometimes not to be) is absolutely critical to how we act in and react to the world we live in. It affects everything.
If you have a few moments this week, I HIGHLY recommend, no, actually, kindly beg you to listen to this podcast by Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church. It is, in a single word, good.
In fact, I’m planning on listening to it again very soon. So, you listen, I’ll listen and then we’ll discuss.
Deal?

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
