Did you happen to see this open letter to Kelly Clarkson that the editors of D Magazine wrote in their October 2012 issue? It’s so funny and true that I thought I’d share.
An open letter to Kelly Clarkson from the editors of D Magazine:
DEAR MS. CLARKSON:
Hey girl! Your new single, “Get Up (a Cowboy Anthem)” is sooo good. It’s no “Since U Been Gone,” but, really, what is? We do have a slight problem, though. We know you meant for it to fire up Dallas Cowboys fans. It doesn’t It makes us want to, in no particular order: jump on our beds and sing-scream into a hairbrush until our dad tells us to knock that racket off; go to North Park with our girlfriends and maybe finally get that new top at Forever 21; tell Tammy that loser guy she’s been seeing is totally not right for her, and if she wants to drop out of cosmetology school, we will 100 percent support her decision. But it doesn’t make us want to watch Tony Romo audible to a run play, based on where the mike linebacker has lined up, even though Dez Bryant is in single coverage. Sorry!
-THE EDITORS
P.S. I understood nothing of that last sentence about actually watching the Cowboys…you? Looks like I’m sticking with you, Kelly!

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Hello would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
