Have you ever had so much to say that you didn’t know where to start? That’s how I’ve felt every day for the past few weeks as I sat down to my computer. Today will be the day! I would say. Cue the crickets.
Is it writer’s block? Is it avoiding the inevitable: the journey had come to an end? Is it pure laziness? In my last month in Europe, I frolicked in four countries while travelingwith both friends and family, graduated, moved out of my petit apartment and played tourist with my family who came for graduation. There was a lot of happiness and fun, sharing my Parisian life with them, but most certainly mixed in were moments of sadness and the sense of being over-whelmed and sans control. My whole world was transitioning before my eyes and it made for an eventful (to say the least) time.
I have lots upon heaps of stories to tell you starting with a dream trip to Greece with my parents, graduation (yes, I officially got that Masters!), a quick two-day trip across the Channel to London the week of the queen’s Diamond Jubilee, and then finally, a goodbye to my sweet Paris. As I said before, with that many directions to choose from it was hard to start somewhere. Maybe you can forgive me for refusing to choose until today, but I’m ready now. Let’s go back the beginning!
