Here we are, together again! Please subscribe and bookmark this site because it’s my new place for writing and sharing. I’ve been in survival mode for the last week…it’s difficult business, you know, being plucked from your world, your family and your friends…but settled in a new apartment with Internet at long last, I’m yours again.
Here’s a few thoughts, friends: Everything you’ve ever heard about Paris is probably true. Truely. There’s no end to the people watching: sweet little boys pushing themselves on scooters, sidewalk cafe couples, fabulously dressed men, women, and children, afternoon games of boule. It’s all fascinating. Black is a common color and smiles by strangers are difficult to come by. The smell of the corner patisserie or boulangerie will buckle your knees the first time you experience it- and if you’re famished- consider yourself a goner. The lights at night are mesmerizing and every time you turn the corner there’s something new to see. I have a lot to catch you up on…much has happened in the last week of my life, but know this: I think of you often and carry you with me always.
Love,
Caitlin

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
